Holocaust and Genocide Studies (House Bill 318)

Overview

Nazis alone did not perpetrate the atrocities of the Holocaust.  They were aided by collaborators and bystanders (some willing, others coerced).  In some instances, propaganda was used to vilify those persecuted by the perpetrators of the Holocaust.  In other cases, threats against individuals or their loved ones were used to coerce people into becoming collaborators.  In the midst of this darkness, some chose to become rescuers and aid those in in need.  This page explores those who served as perpetrators, collaborators, bystanders, and rescuers during the Holocaust.
