Please contact Molly or Kaitlyn if you would like to request a free online training session for yourself or the educators at your school. Please check the Schools page on the UDLib/SEARCH website to find your coordinator. We can discuss the ways that UDLib/SEARCH databases help educators create lesson plans that align with DOE standards and integrate with Schoology and Google Drive.
Training sessions can be conducted in person at your school or online via Zoom.
UDLib/SEARCH Coordinators recently presented information about the Holocaust and Genocide Studies (House Bill 318) Research Guide at the Caesar Rodney T3 Expo. We are scheduled to give presentations at the Capital School District I-5 Teaching and Learning Conference in March. If you would like UDLib/SEARCH Coordinators to present at any of your school district events or meet with educators at your school to discuss ways that UDLib/SEARCH can support your teachers and students, please contact us.
HB 198:
Explore the UDLib/SEARCH Black History (House Bill 198) Research Guide. This guide is intended to be used throughout the school year to support the teaching requirements of HB 198, but we would like to especially draw your attention to this guide during the month of February.
PebbleGo and PebbleGo Next:
In celebration of Black History Month, we are excited to share a curated list of articles available in your PebbleGo Biographies and PebbleGo Next Biographies modules, focusing on influential Black figures. This is a wonderful opportunity to enrich your students' learning experience and honor the significant contributions of Black individuals throughout history. Please note that while this list is extensive, it is not exhaustive.
Highlighted Biographies in PebbleGo and PebbleGo Next:
Because of the size of the list, we've included it in this Google Sheets workbook. Note that there are two sheets (toggle in bottom left), one for PebbleGo and one for PebbleGo Next. Note that the chain link icon in each article (see screenshot) enables you to plug articles into any digital space for one-click access.
Britannica Academic will be updated on or around February 5th.
